As a human, it's common that we are going to make mistakes, in order to learn or achieve something new. In the process of learning something new or just because we don't know the perception of another person, we hurt them. It is called a mistake because our intension was not to hurt them. We make a mistake in dealing with our parents by shouting at them and then regretted and felt really bad. We judge our friend wrongly and then realize actually it was our mistake not his/her.
